Pedaco do livro que to lendo.
"...Some people, in the years that came later, looked back on the first days of the socialist revolution with longing and regret. Some looked back with patronizing smiles of acquired wisdom, as an old married couple recall the excitement of young love - amused that such innocence had ever been taken seriously, and yet with a lingering touch of wonder. Some looked back with incredulity: it could not really have been like that, memory must have been tinted by desire. But most people did not look back at all. They simply forgot.
Even for those who remembered, it became impossible to explain - to their children, for instance - the special quality of that time. It was a time of unbounded confidence, when the gap between ideals and realities seemed to have been suddenly narrowed. It was a time when everything looked easy. And indeed, once the Workers' Councils took charge of the factories and the gasworks and the bakeries, everything did run astonishingly well. The mere removal of competition and the drive for profit, of authority and hierarchy, of self-importance and petty pride, made it possible to consult no interest but those of commom sense and the general good. It was simple and it worked.
But more than that: it was a time of marvelling human growth. Everyone did his job better - or felt that he did - got more ideas, talked more eloquently, made new friends, moved faster about the city, lived more intensely, loved more passionately, needed less sleep. Each hour was a fresh experience, not a mere unit of time. Each day changed the world a little more. Everyone had the feeling of being a different man or woman from before the revolution, and of continually becoming different again.
It was a time of freedom, so natural that it soon ceased to be strange. No one any longer had to do anything because he was ordered, or because it was the rule, or because it had always been done. People did what was right and useful when they were convinced; otherwise, they did as they pleased and harmed no one else. When the Government made laws or issued decress. they were always to abolish aol restraints and establish the forms of freedom. Reading the posters, people felt themselves each time more free.
It was a time of equality. Human beings were valued as human beings, not herded in categories. Wishes and ablilities marked them out, not clothes or speech. Suddenly there were no rich and no poor. The wartime shortages became worse and the shops were half empty. But no one bothered to pay the rent if it was difficult, no debts were claimed, pledges were released from pawnshops without interest. Food and warm clothes were given away to the needy; children got free meals in the schools; actors and musicians entertained in halls where no tickets were sold, for the joy of reaching new audiences. Money had ceased to rule, to be the measure of possibilities.
It was a time of curious gentleness. This was the quality that melted away soonest, but it was real while it lasted. No one shouted or pushed or grabbed, even when a distribution of food was nearing its end, even when missing the last place in a lorry meant an hour's walk. When there was disagreement about the right way to do things, no one tried to win the argument by fierce sarcasm or slogging repetition. All recognized the obligation to persuade, to make two wills coincide and not one prevail. It was a time of true respect between man and man, when the highest aim was to secure another's freely given help. It was indeed a time of brotherhood.
So it was a time when dreams became food, when promises were day's news, when social theories were offered and considered as ladies' fashions or vintage wines had been in the old days. The past was dead, the present was whirling too fast to catch, and people lived in the future. Or rather: in what they believed to be the future..."

Well, just watch out for what you read.

A great way to deal with despression symptoms is usually to be bodily productive. Exercising is fantastic for your mind and body mainly because it produces organic chemicals within your body that are meant to help you feel great. The changes inside your body will also help you to feel great about yourself and increase your self esteem. Sca46ujdin
